Estoril Preview

Ahhhh, I am so excited what a plaisir this is, the European clay court season starts Monday in Estoril and Valencia. There is also a tournament on clay in Houston. This week means the beginning of my incredible journey. I am leaving today to Lisbon, Portugal to follow this week event.

This week in Estoril, the top two seed are World N°1 Roger Federer and recent Miami champion Nikolay Davydenko.

Federer is clearly the favourite to win this tournament in preparation for the Masters Series of Monaco where he was finalist the last two years (l. to Nadal both times).

He will have a first round match against his long time good friend, Olivier Rochus from Belgium, and then he could meet the local hope Frederico Gil in the QF. In the final the other expected player to see is Davydenko, but I am sure we will have a surprise with him, maybe the 5th Seed Frenchman Gilles Simon can do somlething.

Other notables player in the draw are N°3 seed Ivo Karlovic and Finnish N°4 seed jarko Nieminen.
