Davydenko joins Nadal for Sunday showdown.

This second semi-final between World N°4 Nikolai Davydenko, and the fan favourite American Andy Roddick was the same match as the first semis. With the best seeded player eventually coming through in less than 1h30 (7-6[5] 6-2).

The first set was a real battle of serve as both players had 75% of their 1st serve in, without facing any break point. In the tie break Roddick had an early 3-1 lead before losing it by 7 points to 5.

In the second set Andy Roddick had a good start by converted the first break point of the match and break to love the Russian and took the advantage 2-1.

And then Nikolai Davydenko won the last 5 games, without wining any points in his second serve, to eventually beat for the first time of his career the American in their 6th meetings. He won the match on his first match point when Roddick's forehand failed to clear the net.

As Roddick said at the net : "you're too good, too good" Davydenko as usual stood on his baseline and picked the ball as early as possible to have his opponent on the run all the time.

Andy Roddick as the only player, who took advantage of the Top 3 player this year, didn't find his way to beat the world n°4.
